On November 2nd, two homes cought fire in a subdivision in northwest Fayetteville. Authorities believe that they were set intentionally since they were unoccupied, but what gives authorities more reason to believe it is arson is the history in this area almost two years ago. The fire department was dispatched to 2740 Rivercliff Road, which was vacant, and 2776 Rivercliff Road. Residents said developer Robert Gore lived in the second home but was away. Robert Gore also owned three of the houses that were burned in 2007 but there were no charges filed at that time. It is said that Robert Gore owes contractors and suppliers and court documents show that he has been sued. Investigators are not saying if this is related in anyway but this does raise red flags for them. They will look into that as a possible motive.

The residents reported the fire around 0330 and the houses were fully envolved when police arrived on scene. Once they police arrived, they noticed the second house on fire. Around 5 fire departments responded to both fires. There were no injuries reported. Both houses were destroyed and two homes nearby were damaged due to the heat.
