MONROE, N.C. Authorities say two adults and a child have been killed in a house fire in southern North Carolina.

Crooked Creek Firefighter hit on I-40

OLD FORT — A firefighter suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while helping victims of a tractor-trailer crash that blocked interstate traffic for three hours.
